Customizing our communication and outreach strategy to reach everyone is extremely important. Against this backdrop, we use the electronic media (radio and TV) to reach listeners and viewers. Our relationship with the print media has been exceptional! We have succeeded in taking key messages to news readers with the support of media houses and journalists. The Council’s website is up and running. This tool helps profile us with local and international audience. Additionally, we have established and activated social media platforms to engage social media active population. We currently have an active Facebook page and engaging WhatsApp groups to inform, educate, and interact with many active users of those platforms. We intend to expand the social media component to accommodate users of other platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram

As the outreach wing of the Council, we recognize that entertainment through songs and comedy has been an effective communication and outreach strategy over the years. This is evidenced by the fact that musicians and comedians have succeeded in taking certain messages to more people and larger audience than other platforms. Acknowledging the value this brings to our work, we engage services of renowned musicians and comedians to support our work. With their support, we organize road shows and campaigns right through the country. Finally, we acknowledge that the world is dynamic therefore, our communication strategy is iterative. We will keep updating our approach to accommodate other populations and to reach out to specific target groups
